Did you know that anyone can learn how to tango? You do not need prior experience in dance of any sort. You do not have two left feet. I didn’t know either until I learned!

My name is Inja (ee-nya) and I am an expert on authentic Argentine Tango, the kind danced in Argentina and all over the world.

I also offer choreography for weddings and performances for entertainment at events.

I fell in love with tango in the summer of 2010 when I first saw it danced in Italy. Up until then I had only been learning it at Arizona State University and not really understanding the abstract nuances of the dance. Fast forward a few years after training vigorously in Italy 3-6 months a year with the best tangueros in the world and taking private lessons to uplevel constantly, I was asked to teach at ASU! What an honor. It came full circle after years of hard work.

After her father passed away, Inja went to Bali, Indonesia to take a 200 hour Yoga Teacher Training with Rishikesh Yoga School from the Himalayas in India. One month in Bali was a magical experience where she deepened her yoga practice of 20 years. She was not planning on also teaching yoga, but her expertise in body movement and dance, naturally led to teaching yoga as well as tango. Her students love her playlists, her gentle classes that welcome all levels and experiences, and everyone including her leaves class with a smile. Class usually starts with a meditation or breathwork practice, or both, and a head to toe deep yet gentle and relaxing stretch follows, ending with chimes that balance the hemispheres of the brain.

She is currently teaching private and group yoga classes at a beautiful church in Elizabeth neighborhood of Charlotte. Inja enjoys bringing yoga to your private events as well for your special occasions.
